These pieces have all been created recently with a high concentration of who I am poured into their content and imagery. My only true outflow comes through producing artwork and the process of creation, the time it takes, the spontaneity of it, the underlying issues in my life and the lives of other women popping their heads up in certain formed spaces on canvas. It's really exciting and entertaining for my soul!
I am pursuing a full time career as a visual artist, which thrills me at every turn of its journey. I am rather young at this journey, being a recent college graduate, (well, 1 1/2 yrs ago is pretty recent) but am following after the artist dream with full force nonetheless.
I hope that my artwork can touch the lives of its viewers, much like other artists. However, my goal is not just to make viewers ponder art, but to ponder creation, the process, and this world's ultimate Creator, the God of heaven and earth, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God whose Son died on the cross for my sins as well as yours. For I attribute every talent I have to the Lord and I hope to make His face known through art, through observing the very things He has made in the first place. My artwork is still rather experimental for I enjoy mediums of every sort, however, I think there is still a consistent quality or spirit throughout all my pieces that requires these pieces to be mine alone.
I definitely accept commissions and am open to discussing ideas viewers would like to see put into visual, tangible creations. |
